I filed for a green card through marriage and am currently in process. I’d like to know when I can expect to receive my Social Security card.

Once your Work Permit is issued, you can apply for a Social Security card at any Social Security office. Bring your Work Permit and passport for identification. After submitting the application, you should receive your Social Security card in the mail about two weeks later.
