Whether a green card holder who stayed in Korea over a year without a Reentry Permit loses their green card

As long as you don’t repeat several short trips under 6 months each, or stay abroad for a year or more at a single stretch, you don’t need to worry about losing your green card. How long you stayed abroad isn’t the absolute standard for preserving your green card. Even if you exceeded a year without having obtained a Reentry Permit, if you can demonstrate there were urgent circumstances that made this unavoidable, you shouldn’t have difficulty maintaining your green card.
