Which country I should register my marriage in to obtain an H-4 visa
Hello, I currently live in Canada. Within a year, I expect to marry a Korean woman based in Seoul.
The plan is to marry in Korea early next year and then live with my spouse in the U.S. — I’d like to know if registering the marriage only in Korea is sufficient for her H-4 visa, or if I need to register in both Korea and Canada. I’d appreciate advice on the process she’d need to go through to get the H-4 visa, and any other recommended approach.
Hello. To provide H-4, all you need is a marriage certificate, regardless of Korea or the U.S.
You can proceed with that in mind.
