Can an E-2 small-business investor visa holder apply for unemployment benefits?
I hold an E-2 visa. Due to the COVID-19 shutdown, can I apply for unemployment benefits as well?

So under this requirement, applying for unemployment benefits could technically be viewed as failing to operate the business daily. Applying for and receiving unemployment benefits would effectively mean the automatic termination of your E-2 status — so please do not apply.
