Hello, it’s been 10 years since I got my green card, and I’d now like to apply for citizenship. I’d like to know the procedure and process for the citizenship application.

The process is as follows:
1. Complete and submit USCIS Form N-400.
2. Complete biometrics.
3. Attend the citizenship interview.
4. Receive N-400 approval from USCIS.
5. Receive a notice to take the Oath of Allegiance.
6. Take the oath of allegiance to the United States.
7. Surrender your green card.
8. Finally, once you receive your Certificate of Naturalization, you become a U.S. citizen.
