Re-entry concerns due to a record of petty theft
I’m a green card holder. I was previously charged with shoplifting at a department store. The matter was resolved, but I’m worried whether re-entering after a trip to Korea could result in denied entry or some other problem.
Could something happen? Could I be turned back? I’d like to know how to prepare for and handle this.
If you have a criminal record for theft, you might be taken to a secondary inspection room for a brief review upon entry, but we think it’s very unlikely that your green card would be revoked or that you’d be turned back.
